VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION DINNER
EDMONDS SENIOR CENTER, EDMONDS, WA
Tonight we salute each one of you, who volunteer your time.
Who give your talent and your gifts and never seem to whine.
To each contributor of money: talent and time;
This is about you, a wee little rhyme.
Don’t hold your breath folks, there’s more than quite a few…
Now hang on for the count down, as we acknowledge you.
To the directors, who never weakened and brought us the center, we were seeking.
The phone caller’s who got out the vote, those willing to serve, are people of note.
‘The Seniors on the Move’ seen here leading the way, a place to enjoy and a place to play.
The telephone greeters and new people meeters, with a smile they make a brighter day.
Office staff and assistants, (who serve with a vision) to help others, is their mission.
The paper-co-allators, the money tabulators. The people- helper getters, these folks are never-quitters! The knitters and the quilters. And the Glue-girls with their glitter.
Kitchen maintainers, carpenters and painters. The coffee bar that warms us up, each morning with a steaming cup. The movers and shakers, the great cookie bakers.
The teachers who keep us up to date with current events and language class.
The lunch time servers, who bring us our hash.
The bingo callers, the popcorn makers, the movie show, take a breath, there’s some more you know. The long-range planning facility team, ‘Going for Gold,’ shaping the dream.
We salute the ‘Sound Singers’; director and Choir - and how we have been blessed.
Special music bringers, instrumentalists and singers, are simply the very best.
‘The Thrift Store’ on the beach, brings clothing priced, within reach.
Our future is bright with this inventory, God’s volunteer family-EXTRAORDINARY!!
If I forgot one or two, Not to worry- God will remember you

To Rose and the Board who rule with grace.
