Miscellaneous programs and recreational opportunities include locally planned trips using the our bus or van plus learning to navigate using Community Transit via their buses or the Sounder Commuter Train as well as the Washington State Ferry System. Guest lecturers provide information on brain fitness, arm chair travel to exotic places, fall prevention, housing options, and many topics of interest to EdSC members and guests.
While the three major program and service categories remain constant, there are additions to these categories during the year based on interests and requests. We continue to analyze and review program content for improvement and viability. Future programs will definitely be focused on health and well-being as our aging population continues to increase and live longer. One strategy for growth includes seeking younger seniors who have skills and abilities that they desire to share in classroom situations such as enhanced computer instruction, languages, and music instruction/participation.
